Obstetrics & Gynaecology

Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology is responsible for teaching the students of 4th and 5th year MBBS course. This course and curriculum is designed to offer basic and practical understanding of the subject which comprises Obstetrics, Neonatology, Gynaecology and Family Planning. Aim of this course is to train medical graduate who will be able to manage common obstetric and gynaecological problems and emergencies as well as they should recognize the critical cases and refer complicated cases to proper place and person. Total allocation of teaching hours is 200 hrs for lectures, demonstration and integrated teaching and 16 weeks for ward duties (Clinical Clerkship) as per syllabus. We took revision class after completion of schedule classes. Models are used for development of skill in obstetric and gynaecological procedure.
