Handball

Handball is a super-fast, high-energy team sport played between two teams of seven players each. The objective is to pass, dribble, and throw the ball into the opponent's net, much like football—but using hands instead of feet. However, players must adhere to certain rules: they cannot hold the ball for more than three seconds, nor can they take more than three steps without passing or dribbling. This makes the game quick, tactical, and packed with constant movement.

Every match of handball brings a rush of exhilarating excitement, skillful exchanges, and intense teamwork. It’s a game where strategy plays a huge role—each play is carefully crafted, and every move counts. For our medical cadets, handball not only keeps them physically fit by enhancing speed, agility, and coordination, but it also helps reduce the stress that comes with their demanding academic workload. It teaches the importance of perfecting team collaboration and the value of quick thinking under pressure.

Armed Forces Medical College is proud to have dedicated handball fields within the campus where cadets regularly train and refine their skills. Whether it's for a friendly match or a competitive tournament, handball offers a great way to stay active, connect with peers, and develop both physical and mental endurance.
